Mr. Yama Vong Tze is a member of the Shi in Union City in Fallout: New California.
Background[]
Yama Vong Tze works as the manager of the Union City Shi Bank, representing the Shi clans, who run the banks from Angel's Boneyard. He deals with all financial and customer services of the Union City branch, and proudly proclaims the location to be the "most secure banking facility in New California."[1] He is disgusted by the rebellion of the Nanjima Clan, believing that they are not worthy of the name.[2][3]
Interactions with the player character[]
Quests[]
Shi's Lost My Money?!: Yama informs the Star Player that their bank account has been robbed (which will start the quest if it was not started through Pip-Boy account notifications.) He gives the location of the electronic device used to rob the bank. With 75 Speech, he can be convinced to give 300 caps to buy supplies. Handing over the device to him will enable him to restore all the money stolen from the account, and finish the quest.
Other interactions[]
- Yama can be spoken with to set up a Shi Bank account with a deposit of at least 500 caps. Withdrawing/depositing money or closing the account can also be done by talking to him. Pip-Boy account notifications can also be turned on or off by talking to him.
- If the player character decides to rob the Shi Bank reserves, they will be forced to fight Yama, as his hand is needed to access one of three scanners to unlock the door out of the bank, which is automatically sealed when either the reserves door is opened or the bank alarm is disarmed.

- ↑ The Star Player: "What can you tell me about this place?"
Yama Vong Tze: "The place you see before your eyes is the magnificent Shi bank which, until recently, was the most secure banking facility in New California. After years of operating our business here, we have transformed into the bank that everyone can trust." - ↑ The Star Player: "You... don't look like other Shi I've met."
Yama Vong Tze: "I'm not covered in dirt and killing innocent people? No. Those are not Shi. Those are dogs, dressed like fools. They are not our people anymore." - ↑ The Star Player: "You... don't look like other Shi I've met."
Yama Vong Tze: "I've already told you... They are not our people anymore. They rebelled against the Emperor even after they left the ancestor's Shi-huang-ti. When the Shi homeland was devestated by nuclear fire, they left us instead of obeying orders, and abandoned the NCR. And their duty. Now they are nothing more than Raiders, killing and stealing to get by. We looked down on them even before the skiszm. Now they're just ghosts."
