The Light Bringer is a unique weapon in Fallout: New California.
Background[]
The Light Bringer is a prototype weapon created by employees of the Arclight Factory, who used corporate espionage to get information about HELIOS One and its "game changing power and weapon capabilities" and attempted to integrate it with the company's arclight technology. However, their finished product was worthless, as all it did was give off light, although the employee who named the weapon was eyed for a raise by the manager.[1]
Characteristics[]
The weapon only accepts Arclight Gun Ammo. It does zero damage and thus its plasma bolts only bring light, in concurrence with its name. It also has a very small clip size of 2 cells, and uses 2 cells per shot, so it has to reload after every shot.
Durability[]
The Light Bringer can fire a total of about 370 times, the equivalent of 185 reloads, from full condition before breaking. However, since only 140 AL Cells can be obtained without console commands, the weapon can only fire a total of 70 times.
Location[]
The weapon is found on a table next to the antique strongbox in the Arclight basement, along with 140 AL Cells - the only Arclight Gun Ammo that can be legitimately obtained without console commands.
