Eric Campbell is a Wasteland Scout trainee living in Vault 18. He, along with his sister Jamie, is a potential companion in Fallout: New California.
Background[]
Eric and his sister Jamie were children of the Exodite Orian Tribe, the same tribe the player character and their siblings are from. When the Orian were attacked and vanished, Eric and Jamie, the oldest of the children, formed a close bond and cared for their younger cousins until they were found by the Wasteland Scouts.
Raised in Vault 18 like the other tribal children, Eric and Jamie grew closer, eventually forming a potentially incestuous relationship with one another, drawing much rumor and gossip from the other Vault Residents. Eric is in training under Dr. Rossman to become a Wasteland Scout, working tirelessly with Rossman to learn topics varying from firearms training to botany. Eric also manages the Vault Barbarians, the rival vault-ball team to Coach Bragg's Patriots. His sister is a member of this team, but the night of the prologue, she has been subbed into the Patriots by Bragg to replace another player.
Interactions with the player character[]
Path of the Warrior[]
Eric can be found in the Vault 18 upper apartments, reviewing a note. If talked to, he can be confronted about his incestuous relationship with Jamie, activating the quest Put A Ring On It. A female character with 5 Charisma can seduce Eric to break up with Jamie.
Path of the Scientist[]
As in the Path of the Warrior, Eric can be found in the Vault 18 upper apartments, reviewing a note. He will greet the player character but cannot be interacted with further.
The Calm Before the Storm...[]
If Eric is seduced by a female player character, he will be killed by the collapse in the lower apartments caused by the Patriots destroying the upper apartment's transformers.
If Jamie was seduced, Eric will be killed by Patriots while searching for her in the lower apartments.
Save The Vault[]
If alive, Eric will be found manning the barricade in the upper apartments with Sergeant Norman. He will aid in fighting the three vault patriots who storm the barricade, then will ask the player character to check up on Jamie, who is in their apartment on the upper level.
Path of the Warrior[]
If Eric has died as a result of Put a Ring On It, he will be replaced by an unnamed vault security officer. If his and Jamie's relationship was strengthened in Put A Ring On It, they can be convinced to accompany the player character through Vault 18.
Fallout New Vegas[]
Both him and Jamie can be found in Campbell Residence, a location south of Northern Passage Where the player must pay 3000 caps to support their two children if the player wants them to join them as companions again.
