Reading this book permanently increases the player character's Medicine skill by 3 points (4 with the Comprehension perk). There are 8 copies of the book in the mod, for a total of 24 skill points (32 with Comprehension.)
Locations[]
The skill book can be found in the following locations.
- Pinehaven Hospital: One on a table with three chairs in the kitchen area.
- Odyssey:
- In Gaff's shack on a table next to a teddy bear.
- On the bookshelf in the bedroom in Doc Isaak's clinic.
- Athens-Tec Mine med bay: In Athens-Tec Mine
- Mission Palms: In one of the cazador-infested northern houses, near the doorway at the top of the stairs (watch out for the frag mine.)
- Black Horse Ranch: One is hidden among the bookshelves on the second floor of Athens house 4. It is located on the bottom right of the left bookcase's lowest shelf.
- Union City:
- One is on the floor of sandcrete house 8 (on the main road, turn right at the four-way intersection at The Ram Shack and look for the three houses on the right. The relevant house is the one in the middle.)
- One is contained in the bookshelf in the player housing sandcrete residence.

The book is also found in the inventory of the NCR medic, an unused character.
